Team Registration Forms

  • Registration forms are due by October 14, 2016

Registration Fees

  • Cheques are payable to WRAC (Women's Ringette Association Calgary) and are due on October 14, 2016
  • Registration fees and $300 TEAM BOND are to be mailed to Shelley Laycock with WRAC at the following address:

Cheques paid to Womens Ringette Association of Calgary

  • WRAC fees are $61 for 2016-2017, detailed as follows:
  • - Ringette Alberta - $57
    - WRAC - $2
    - Ref Assignor - $2/home game (not included in above total)

  • NEW FOR 2016-2017 - $300 TEAM BOND:
  • - Team bond was voted in at the AGM
    - Team bonds are to be paid to WRAC Treasurer along with team registration fees
    - Fees would cover potential costs such as paymnet to opposing team for cancelled games, fines, infractions and for formal compaints made to the WRAC Board or one of its members
    - Teams will have an option of rolling over their unused bond to next season registration or to get reimbursed by May of that season - Teams will be notified if they are incurring a cost to their bond

Referee Fees

  • Ringette Calgary officals who work WRAC games in Calgary will be paid $45 (2016-17) cash prior to the start of the game.
  • Ringette Calgary officals who work WRAC games in Springbank will be paid $50 (2016-17) cash prior to the start of the game.
  • Only 1 referee will be assigned to each WRAC game.
  • The Referee Assignor will be paid $2 per home game.
  • A cheque for the Referee Assignor can be made out to WRAC and mailed to Shelly Laycock due by October 14, 2016

Score Sheets

  • Captains are asked to keep all game sheets until April 17, 2017.
  • Any game sheet must be available for submission to the Ref Coordinator or any other member of the WRAC Board upon request
  • Score sheets which contain Unsportsmanlike, Major or Misconduct penalties are to be submitted within 72hrs of the game.

Players and Coaches

  • All teams must consist of more WRAC players that CORA C level players
  • Teams can only have a maximum of 3 registered CORA players and affiliates per roster (goalies are the only exception
  • Any person(s) representing the team in any coaching capacity must fill out the scoresheet at every game they attend Disputes
  • Disputes, and all the evidence in support thereof, must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of the dispute to the President or Vice-President of WRAC, signed by the individual filing the dispute Sportsmanship
  • ALL players and teams, through their registration and intent to play in the WRAC league will adhere to the Executive Board and Player Code of Conduct
  • Behaviour unfitting for the league will be reviewed by the Board and could result in expulsion from the league

Referee Information

Please contact the WRAC Referee Coordinator

  • For the 2016-2017 season - all referee requests for games in September must be received prior to September 14, 2017 or at least 14 days prior to the game.
  • Requests for referees for October through March must be received prior to September 20, 2017 or at least 14 days prior to the game
  • Team requesting second ref must provide minimum 30 days written notice to the referee coordinator.
  • Team requesting second ref must cover the cost unless another arrangement has been made with the opposing team.
  • In order to keep up to date records, team captains must let the referee coordinator know if your referee was a no-show within 72 hours of he game.
  • Reminder that the home team is responsible for paying the referee at each game.

Game Cancellation

Please contact the WRAC Referee Coordinator

  • Team cancelling for lack of second ref or any other reason, except weather, is required to give 7 days’ notice.
  • If Home team cancels, costs are covered by Home team and Visiting team owes nothing.
  • If Visiting team cancels they must provide a minimum of 7 days’ written notice to Home team. If less than 7 days’ written notice, Visiting team may have to cover ½ of the ice costs unless a replacement game could be arranged.
  • If Visiting team provides less than 3 days’ written notice, they will owe ½ the cost of ice, ½ the cost of the ref unless the Home team can find a replacement.Either team will use all reasonable efforts to notify the opposing team (email or phone) as soon as possible if weather conditions make travel unsafe.
  • In order to keep up to date records, team captains must let the referee coordinator know if your referee was a no-show within 72 hours of he game.
